Disadvantaged children are supported through this funding in a variety of ways and available school data shows that children who have access this have made good progress. In 2015, these children in KS1 all made expected progress. In KS2, these children also made good progress and 100% of pupils in this cohort achieved Level 4 in reading, writing and maths and made expected progress. This has improved from previous years. There was significant improvement in maths and reading compared to national data.

The school ensures the children have access to high quality sporting provision. We fund swimming costs and ensure all children swimming during the year with our youngest children swimming throughout the year. The school partakes in many inter school sports activities including football, hockey, cross country and rugby. In addition, we allow children access to other less common sports including squash, scooter hockey and street dance. We have used our funding this year to hold a sports day with our collaboration school enjoying games such as dodge ball and archery.
