As part of the Richard III Festival in the town,  Crakehall School visited the childhood home of the controversial king.They enjoyed  learning about 15th century life as they explored the authentic living history camp and castle grounds.

Candle making, willow weaving and medieval cooking were among the many demonstrations they watched . A particular favourite was the braiding activity.
The children were given a  book, badge, pen and book mark – which gave them free entry to this weekend activities.
